I'm an 18-year-old soon-to-be college student living in Upper Michigan. No, not Northern Michigan. Upper Michigan. The place with all the trees you probably confuse for Wisconsin or Canada. It's a tiny community -- the whole Upper Peninsula (or U.P.) has a population of a little over 300,000. It's great living in such a small community (low crime, small classes, and it's pretty damn hard to feel insignificant here), but there's also not a lot to do here. I'm hoping to see NIN live soon (I hope NIN/JA isn't their farewell tour!). But, like I said, there's not a lot to do here. It's a seven-and-a-half-hour drive to Grand Rapids, eight-hour drive to Detroit, and almost four-hour drive to Green Bay. I started listening to NIN in late January/early February 2009. I discovered them during a very hard time in my life, so they have a very deep, special meaning for me; I feel like they literally saved my life. So excuse me if I get fanatical. I'm a fairly new NIN fan, but they're my favorite band. If it wasn't so cliché, I'd say that I could listen to any album over and over and never get bored with it. I'm trying to finish up collecting all the halos in CD/DVD form. If you have something cheap for sale -- remember, soon-to-be college student :) -- contact me in any way you can.
